Sean started painting in his younger years but rather than canvas it was painting model soldiers in oils. Any artistic streak then waited with career and other distractions that abound. Though he may have dabbled here and there it was not until recovering from a spinal injury some two years ago that he once again committed himself to painting.
Initial experimentation was with acrylics but the fast drying prioperties did not suit his painting style . So he returned to oil, his first love. As for genre he has always been drawn to figurative study (particularily the nude) and portraiture . Sean has had various commissions from beloved pets to human portraiture of all ages. He is happy to paint in the style that suits the sitter whether pop art, direct painting or classical glazing.
